Koseki and childcare participation - Goal settings

On July 1, 2007 we have established our "Action Plan Regarding Countermeasures to Support the Development of the Next Generation." We implement our action plan in accordance with the gAct on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children.h We are working on reviewing our working conditions to improve the working environment and working style of our employees and promote work-life balance.

In 2015 our company continue to promote the childcare participation across the company. Our aim is to move away from the traditional Japanese working style, and improve the balance between work and family life. All company executives and employees work together to create an environment where the children of the next-generation can grow up healthily, and to provide an excellent and supportive workplace where everyone can develop, maximize their skills and contribute to the growth of the company.

As advocates of a gender-equal society, we are also promoting male participation in child rearing.

Action Plan

1. Basic Policy

We apply the following action plan in order to bring out the skills of each and every employee to their full potential; ensure that they can spend enough time with their family, and creating a comfortable working environment for everyone.

(1) Measures to promote male participation in child rearing

Koseki Inc. has won the Excellence Award (Gender Equality) of the Miyagi Labour Bureau.

Certificate of commendation and mark of positive action

Koseki Inc. was presented with the Excellence Award (Gender Equality) of the Miyagi Labour Bureau by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

The award is handed out to regional companies in recognition of their effort to create a work environment that allows their female staff to show their full potential and to have a balance between work and family.

We strive to reform the traditional Japanese working life, creating a purposeful working environment for our female employees while continuously rethink and improve our rules.
